That’s Fremont peak to the north across Monterey Bay beyond this wind-sculpted cypress. This tree creates a little cave of shade beneath it. You can pick your way through the ice plant to get out of the sun. This is located south of Pacific Grove along the coastal road but just north of Asilomar.
